“When the flesh sleeps, everything sleeps”

“When the flesh sleeps, everything sleeps” is a title of one of Nunzio Paci his paintings. Nunzio is a visual artist, born in 1977 in Bologna, Italy. His paintings are made with oil and pencils on canvas and shown in exhibitions in different countries over the world.

He combines human anatomy with nature, especially with trees and birds.  In some of his paintings are body parts labeled with dissection cords and tools on the background. Nunzio says:

“My whole work deals with the relationship between man and Nature, in particular with animals and plants. The focus of my observation is body with its mutations. My intention is to explore the infinite possibilities of life, in search of a balance between reality and imagination.”
