- More aftercare needed in years after stroke
- Help with resuming work, finances and alimony desired
- Screening tools not suitable
After a stroke, many patients lack social support to resume work, receive alimony, maintain social contacts with family and friends and to deal with financial affairs. Especially on the long term, more attention is required for the need of social support in stroke patients. This is the conclusion of German researchers who used questionnaires and interviews with 57 patients to map these needs.
