Schirin Akhbari Ziegler graduated 1990 as physiotherapist at the School for Physiotherapy at the University Hospital of Zurich. Since than she worked always in the field of paediatric physiotherapy and became a specialist in this field. 2010 she graduated from Donau-University in Krems in Austria as master in neuro-rehabilitation. Since 2009, she works as a lecturer in paediatric physiotherapy at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Currently, she is the head of the focus paediatric physiotherapy in the Master of Sciences physiotherapy and of the international COPCA course. In 2012 she started to work as PhD-student under the guidance of prof. dr. M. Hadders-Algra. 2020 she graduated as PhD at the university of Groningen. The topic of her thesis was the implementation of the “Coping with and caring for infants with special needs” (COPCA) - a family centred early intervention programme.
