WHAT'S NEW
- Stress and anxiety significantly reduced
- Meditation- and respiratory techniques applied most
- Optimal dose and content of mindfulness training clear yet
Employees following a mindfulness training program experience less stress and anxiety, but their working performance does not improve. Although for general wellbeing and sleep, mindfulness seems to be promising, employees experiencing burn-out or signs of depression do not profit from such a program. This results from a systematic literature study with meta-analysis, executed by researchers at the University of Tasmania who analysed 27 clinical trials with nearly 2000 participants.
