- In CrossFit, half of the women experience SUI during exercise
- CrossFit exerts greater impact on pelvic floor than aerobics
- Exercise can be adapted to reduce pelvic floor stress
Nearly half of the female CrossFit participants experience urinary incontinence during exercise. Jumping exercises, having a child and vaginal delivery create a significant risk for urinary incontinence. This results from a survey of 149 women from California, of which 105 practised CrossFit and 44 who practised aerobics.
