Dental practitioners are highly susceptible to occupational hazards like work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs), which have been attributed to deteriorating quality of life, burnout, and poor health.
Additionally, since these often result in some practitioners quitting the profession, we decided to investigate if there exist any effective ergonomic interventions to prevent such WMSDs.
Our Cochrane systematic review found a lack of high-quality clinical trials on this topic, hence we highlight the urgent need for such studies to be conducted to be able to draw specific conclusions and make meaningful recommendations.
