Telehealth has shown to be a valid alternative for the management of musculoskeletal conditions as a response to changes mandated by social distancing requirements. However, it should not be seen as a temporary measure, as it has proven to be a relevant alternative to provide safe and quality care in many cases.
This is not without its challenges, and practical aspects for its implementation such as triaging factors, platform selection, physical environment, ethical considerations, and telehealth evaluation should be considered. In this masterclass article, a systematic approach for the implementation of telehealth is presented, and a large number practical aspects is addressed.
