EMG activity in various hamstring exercises

Are there differences in proximal, middle, and distal hamstring activity across different exercises?

This study found that the straight-knee bridge, upright hip extension, and leg curls produced the highest hamstring activity in both the concentric and eccentric phases.

Hip extension was the only exercise that produced a higher activity of the biceps femoris. Lower distal semitendinosus activity was found during the leg curl and bent-knee bridging exercises in comparison with the proximal and middle portions.
